Spanish in Salamanca

After a great experience in Madrid, I moved to Salamanca last weekend. I will continue my classes here for one more week, and I'll start this afternoon. The school here in Salamanca is so pretty! It's an old building,very cosy with a lot of flowers, and there is a patio where you can sit in the sun and drink coffee or have lunch. Because right next to the school there is cafe don Quijote where they serve the best pinchos (similar to tapas, something typical in Salamanca) ever! Yesterday I walked around in the centre and it is really pretty! All the monuments are in the spotlights, and especially the cathedral is impressive. I walked to the old roman bridge, turned around to see the view on the cathedral…and I got the shivers, it is amazing!!Later I'll tell you more about the classes!

Na een fantastische ervaring in Madrid ben ik dit weekend verhuisd naar Salamanca. Ik ga hier nog een weekje cursus volgen,en ik begin vanmiddag. De school hier in Salamanca is zo mooi! Het is een oud gebouw, heel gezellig met veel bloemen, en middenin een patio waar je lekker in het zonnetje kunt zitten en koffie drinken of lunchen. Naast de school is het don Quijote cafe waar ze de lekkerste pinchos (soort tapas, maar dan typisch voor Salamanca) serveren! Gisteravond ben ik door het centrum gelopen en het is zo mooi! Alle monumenten zijn verlicht en vooral de kathedraal is indrukwekkend. Ik liep naar de oude romeinse brug, keek achterom naar het uitzicht op de kathedraal, en ik kreeg de rillingen, het is fantastisch! Binnenkort meer info over de lessen hier!
