2700 miles to study Spanish

The first of these is in Santiago which is the country’s vibrant capitol city wedged in a valley between the Andes mountain range and the Pacific Ocean. The city has a mixture of prosperous modernity which meets with its colonial past creating a fascinating atmosphere where you can find great restaurants and nightlife as well as authentic craftwork from the local indigenous population. In Santiago you are also never far away from some great skiing areas.
On the other hand, if you are looking for something a little more relaxed from your time at a Spanish school in Chile then there’s the town of Pichilemu on the shores of the vast Pacific Ocean. Pichilemu is a popular destination for some of the world’s best surfers who come from all over to ride the Pacific swell. At this school you can also attain academic credit making it ideal for anyone looking for a year at university with a difference.
Another coastal town and one of South America’s premier beach resorts is Vina de Mar, located close to Chile’s world famous wine producing region. Vina del Mar is also a big university town giving it a vibrant atmosphere all year round.
