Learning Spanish with don Quijote has become a reality show!
by CelineYes, the rumours are true! don Quijote Salamanca has been chosen as the scenario for a new hip reality show, "Una casa en España". 8 Finnish students of all ages, have come to Salamanca to take on the ultimate challenge. In less than one month, they must master the Spanish language or be sent home!
More than one million spectators are predicted to tune in for this new reality show taking place in right here in Salamanca, Spain. This upcoming excitement started filming last week and will continue until the end of May.
What kind of reality show is this, you might be asking. Well, a Finnish TV show has sent 8 participants, 4 males and 4 females, ages 19-74, to Salamanca to study Spanish. The producers have chosen don Quijote Salamanca as the perfect location to host their show. People with all different backgrounds, from a boat captain to a doctor to a military officer will compete to become, in less than a month, Spanish-speaking experts.
Beside the daily classes, the eight participants will have to face real life situations like asking for directions or going grocery shopping all in Spanish. The competitors will be evaluated each week and the two "least successful students" will be expelled from the academy and sent back to Finland!!
The show will be aired in Finland in October, so stay tuned!
