Spanish in Madrid... Part 2

Madrid is so pretty! I am walking many miles this week, just because there is so much to see! Tuesday I walked to Plaza Mayor, I visited the Royal Palace, and I went to Atocha station, which has a tropical garden inside. After, I sunbathed in the Retiro park, which is a huge park with a pond, a lot of music, little restaurants, and of course a lot of grass and trees, very pretty.

Yesterday after school I went to the Prado museum, which is impressive! It is really big, and has an amazing collection of paintings. Next week I will go to the museum of Reina Sofia, which is also said to be really beautiful. My roommates and I also planned to go to the Rastro next sunday. The Rastro is a huge flee market where you can buy anything for little money.

Uf, I have been only here for a few days, and I can already write a complete travel guide about Madrid!

Madrid is zo mooi! Ik leg veel kilometers af deze week, er is zoveel te zien! Dinsdag ben ik naar Plaza Mayor gelopen, heb ik het Koninklijk Paleis bezocht, en ben ik naar station Atocha geweest, waar binnenin een grote, tropische tuin is. Daarna heb ik lekker even liggen zonnen in het Retiro park, een heel groot park met een vijver, veel terrasjes, veel muziek, en natuurlijk veel gras en bomen, heel relaxed!

Gisteren na school ben ik naar het Prado museum geweest, heel indrukwekkend! Het is een heel groot museum, met een schitterende collectie schilderijen. Volgende week wil ik naar het Reina Sofia gaan, dat schijnt ook heel mooi te zijn. Met m'n huisgenoten heb ik al afgesproken om zondag naar de Rastro te gaan. De Rastro is een enorme rommelmarkt, waar je echt alles voor weinig geld kan kopen.

Jeetje, ik ben hier net een paar dagen en ik kan nu al een complete reisgids over Madrid schrijven
