Short visit to Salamanca

by Lee

After so much hassle during our car trip from Madrid to Salamanca, myself, Mum and Austin spent four relaxing days in this city, trying to fit in everything Salamanca has to offer.

We visited numerous churches, including the magnificent San Esteban (which you can see in the picture below)

We also took some time out strolling through the shopping streets and the enchanting Plaza Mayor.

On their last night we enjoyed a traditional Spanish paella meal in "El Bardo" restaurant and of course, being Irish we felt we simply had to try out a pint of the black stuff in the local Irish pub, O'Hara's. We weren't disappointed, there was live music, the drinks were flowing and a great time was had by all!

To Mum and Austin: Thanks for coming over and I cant wait to see everyone at Christmas!
