Barcelona Champions shake it up on stage with Shakira

If you care at all about football (soccer) than you probably already know that F.C. Barcelona recently won the 2011 Champions title against Manchester United. It was an emotional game, Barcelona has had many confrontations this year with Real Madrid and the rivalry and drive to win was high.

They played a clean game and scored a 3-1 victory, it seemed easy.. and even Manchester's coach showed humility after playing with this FB Club Barcelona, widely believed to be the best football team in the world.
They players arrived in Barcelona the following day and boarded their open top bus to make their rounds throughout the city. They drank, cheered, and danced before making their way to Camp Nou where thousands upon thousands of eager fans awaited to hear their words.

The celebration lasted less than normal, you see, F.C. Barcelona player Gerard Piqué had invited the whole team to his girlfriend Shakira's concert:  In case you haven't heard that yet, the Colombian bombshell and Gerard Piqué (10 years her junior) have been publically "in love" for quite some time now. The singer has even moved to Barcelona and proclaimed her love for the Barcelona player on several occasions.
Shakira's concert at the Olímpic de Montjuïc stadium began nearly 2 hours late to accommodate the late arriving players.  Needless to say, many of the fans were unpleased by this gesture.

When Shakira finally appeared she sang "Años luz" from her new disc and then "Sale el sol" before her famous "Te dejo Madrid" song.  She then stunned the crowd by speaking in perfect Catalan (a regional language) as she explained how happy she was to be in Barcelona on a special day "with so many things to celebrate".

The concert was effectively converted into a victory celebration with the players returning as the new European Champions. Shakira invited boyfriend Piqué along with Xavi, David Villa, Pedro, Bojan and Busquets who joined her on stage. She proceeded to encourage them to dance as she gave them the 101 on shaking their booties.  One thing these fantastic football players proved that night is (1) that they likely had too much to drink and (2) their thing is football, not dancing.

Shakira took the opportunity to further proclaim her love for FB Club player Piqué during her song "Loca" (crazy) in which she changed the chorus to "Soy loca con mi Piqué, loca, loca, loca“ (I'm crazy with my Pique, crazy crazy,crazy).

And of course, she couldn't miss the opportunity to wrap up the  concert with "Waka, Waka" the song that Shakira did for the World Football Cup, which the Spanish selection won, and where Shakira met Gerard Piqué.

Shakira will continue on tour throughout Spain which will take her to Valencia, Almería, Madrid and Bilbao.
