Armani + Spain's Rafael Nadal, hot.. hot.. HOT!

by Kimberly

For those of you follow tennis at all you surely know who Rafael Nadal is. He is a hot Spaniard from Majorca, Spain who also happens to be the world’s best tennis player.

And what better way to celebrate success than with an Armani campaign? The Italian designer Giorgio Armani has chosen Rafael Nadal to represent his new underwear and jeans campaign for the Spring-Summer 2011 collection.

Nadal follows a long line of famous faces who have represented the famous brand: Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Thierry Henry, David Becham  and Victoria Becham.

Armani traditionally has chosen famous soccer players, but this year selected Nadal, a Spanish tennis player who is a winner, young and good looking.  The designer commented that “Nadal is a true phenomenon, probably the best player to have stepped on the court, with power and amazing agility… I love watching him play every match; he is an ideal image (for Armani) because he represents a healthy and positive role model for young people”.

The exclusive Rafa Nadal images for the 2011 Spring-summer collection were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in Palma de Mallorca, Spain this past December.

He joins the beautiful actress Megan Fox in representing the line.  Armani commented that Megan is “young and sensual, enthusiastic and with lots of character.  Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans love that spirit”.
