Teacher Appreciation Week

by Celine

We can't forget that the week of May 6 - May 12 is Teacher Appreciation Week, a time to draw attention to the important role teachers play in making sure every student receives the quality education they deserve. This special week was established in 1984 by the National PTA to honour the dedicated men and women who lend their time, patience and expertise to our education.

If you are a teacher and reading this right now, don Quijote would like to thank you for the great contribution, passion and skills you have given to educating. We appreciate the effort and the hard work you put in each day to make schools a better place for us to learn.

Applaud yourself and your colleagues for all your dedication.

don Quijote also encourages all parents and students to recognize all of the ways teachers contribute to our lives. During this special week, help us and many others show teachers the appreciation they really deserve. Teachers, along with parents, truly make a difference in each and everyone of our lives and they deserve to be thanked.

This year Teacher Appreciation Week 2007 is from May 6 - May 12. Take special care of your teachers this week, and surprise them with a gift and a well-deserved thanks on National Teacher Appreciation Day, May 8, 2007.
